Hi all, well I wanted to share my quilt with you, it just won in one of the catagories in a big show back east. I had painted the fabric and painted the faces on the birds. I designed it and quilted it too. It was a big juried show so I feel very honored to have made it. I posted new drawing too, but I am still working on the doorknob. I want to find something cool like Teri's awesome one!

Congratulations on your lovely quilt. I have just booked into my first beginners patchwork class, which I am really looking forward to. Maybe one day I can do something like yours, too. I did manage to get the door knob challenge finished, though :-)
Desiree, your quilt is gorgeous! As an art quilter myself, I love to look at what others are doing. Putting the bird's heads on the flowers was a so quirky and creative. Congratulations on your win, you deserve it!!

Desiree, those judges had no choice but to be in awe over this quilt. It is totally beautiful!!!!! Everything about it is just great. I also quilt (well, I used to before art took over my life) and I can't even imagine the work that you put into this. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!
