EDM #59 Draw something Spring

Well here in Southern California we enjoy early springs and flowers year round. But I do love the first burst of color that the spring brings along with all the trees budding up to burst open in bloom too. I sat today and decided I was going to draw my iceland poppies, I need to dead-head them to encourage continuous blooms. Since its so nice and warm today, thats my project. The seed heads are almost as interesting to draw as the flowers. Our whole side yard is full of poppies, petuna's and rannacula's that I planted back in November, the yard is full of color. Dianne

Diane, these are beautifully drawn. There is that real atmosphere of light, airy, warm spring about them. Well done!

I love your poppies. I don't know that I have ever seen poppies in bloom. I really like you drawing, the color and the movement!

These are among my favorite flowers! They don't bloom here for a while yet, so it's nice to see them early!
