As many of you know that follow my blog, my brother Jim did some canning this year and sent the preserves to us for our
Christmas Gifts. The most beautiful package arrived and we all loved it. Well I wanted to do a pastel painting of it and decided to paint the photo I had taken and shared with you in the other post. Here is my pastel of "Jim's Preserves". After I posted it on Wet Canvas, Mario, from
Pastel News asked if he could feature it on his blog, what an honor!
Gorgeous - the warm colors and the beautifully painted reflective surfaces make this exceptional. This is really well done!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Desiree..I'm not surprised he would want to feature this, it's stunning work, the colours are so homely & invisitng...This also reminds me of when I had my Deli in London, especially at Xmas when all the jars of exotic preserves were on the shelves..
ReplyDeleteWow, love the painting, Celeste. You have the touch and the eye. Congratulations on featuring your painting!
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful. I love the reflections on the jar lids, and the colors are very nice together. You did an excellent job, with this piece. I was looking at some of your others as well, your reflections are amazing.
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI love the colours and the composition.
I'm quite jealous - pastels are a medium I've never been any good with.
Oh, Desiree, this is gorgeous!!! I love how you arranged the preserves. Wonderful color and shading. I hope they taste as good as they look!!
