7 Tips to Reigniting your Creative Mojo! Stenciling Away!!! Tip #6

Incorporating a new element into your art is a great way to just explore some new possibilities. Stencils are a wonderful addition to any fiber art pieces.
I wanted to share some exciting news!! I am the newest designer to be added to the StencilGirl Family!! Today my new stencils were released and I am having so much fun playing with them! I have been working on a larger fiber piece  and I am adding elements from my stencils to help add some texture and detail. I have a blog post on the StencilGirl blog, and on Facebook! I hope you will take a minute to go over and check it out!!
I even used them on some ceramic plates!

Desiree, I love your new stencils. Always been a fan of stencils and use them as light backgrounds on quilts. I know you have seen my circle designs on backgrounds I think your flowers would be a great accent to my quilts. You are doing such great things. Going to SD show for first time, since I am home at this time. Will you be selling your stencils at this show?

Hi Desiree, I can think of lots of ways that I would use your new stencils. I'm doing some much needed redecorating and trying to get ready for the holidays. So, I'd like to use them to stencil designs on some old wood floor planks that I saved when I put in new flooring. I'd keep one for me and gift the rest to my children for Christmas. Wouldn't that be a wonderful memento for them, a decorated piece of the floor that they used to walk on when they were growing up? I could also use them to spruce up tote bags and pillows! Congratulations to you for designing for StencilGirl!

Hi Desiree,
I would love to use your new stencils to teach using Paintsticks at Subterranean Quilters; to make t-shirts with my granddaughter, and of course on some of my art Quilts. So glad you are designing for Stencilgirl.

I can't believe you stenciled on ceramic plate! What a great idea and it's beautiful! They would be beautiful on fabric (of course) but even shoes.

Stencils are some of my favorite design tools! So glad to see that you're creating some! I use them all on all sorts of surfaces, but wearables are some of my favorites, often with embroidery over the top :-)!
